Asteris has built veterinary imaging software for more than two decades. Keystone PACS, our flagship platform, has carried veterinary practices through every stage of that history — from film digitization to multi-site DICOM networks. NewLumen is built by the same team.
The industry it serves is changing. Demand for specialist reads is growing faster than the supply of radiologists to read them, and the infrastructure most practices run on wasn't built for that math — per-site servers, VPNs, exports, and a separate viewer at every step.
So NewLumen is cloud-native from the first line of code. The viewer is built on Cornerstone3D and runs in any modern browser — a 13-series, 1,385-image CT opens in under five seconds with the hanging protocol already applied. One login covers every clinic a reader serves. Reports start from species-tagged templates, and billing rolls up by sign date.
Keystone taught us what veterinary practices actually need from their imaging. NewLumen is what we built with that knowledge — and none of the legacy constraints.
